The 30-kilometre route is the perfect opportunity for the uninitiated to discover gravel riding in a magnificent setting. For participants in the UCI Gran Fondo Suisse, it's also an opportunity to vary the pleasures and provide the last bit of intensity before the big day the following day.
After leaving the resort of Villars by the asphalt road, the route takes participants to discover the 4×4 slopes and other mountain roads of the Vaud Alps. You pass through Taveyanne, a hamlet classified as a historical monument, before reaching the Col de la Croix in its gravel version. You then head towards Ensex, where a nice singletrack and then a gravel road take you to the Col de Bretaye, the highest point of this route. You then descend along a forest road and turn left shortly before the peaceful hamlet of Plambuit to reach Les Ecovets. From there, the finish line is only 3 kilometres away.
Please note that this distance does not qualify for the 2024 UCI Gravel World Championships. This distance is also open to mountain bikes and e-bikes.
